Dr. Carole Ouellette, a native of the small bilingual town of Grand Falls, N. B., has made her home in Ottawa with her husband Marco since 1997.  They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Carina in 2003 and their son Maxime in 2005.  As a family they enjoy a holistic and active lifestyle.

Dr. Ouellette’s passion for health and wellness stems from her childhood family’s way of life.  She was always interested in and intrigued with the miracles of the human body.  This led her to study in the pre-medical science program at the Université de Moncton in southern New Brunswick.  She then was excited to be part of the rigorous program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, where she graduated in 1997.

Dr. Ouellette joined the team at the Britannia Chiropractic Clinic as an associate doctor in 1997 and then became a partner in 2007.  She was instrumental in building a wellness practice where people of all ages come to experience true healing through the chiropractic lifestyle.  Dr. Ouellette feels extremely fortunate to be able to serve patients and to witness the body’s healing ability.  She continues to build on her education through courses in varied techniques of chiropractic care.

She is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations, the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and the Eastern Ontario Chiropractic Society.

Dr. Ouellette utilizes different techniques, which include the traditional chiropractic adjustments, as well as a more gentle technique called “Torque Release”. This is a technique used on some patients who may not respond to the more traditional chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Ouellette is also certified in Orthotic diagnosis and therapy.  She is also certified in the Webster Technique, which is utilized in the treatment of pregnant women. The Webster technique is very effective in removing intrauterine constraints, which aid in better fetal position in the womb (minimizing breech presentation) and leading to better births. She also completed a post graduate course in cranial adjusting which is beneficial in treating patients suffering from head trauma (sports injuries, concussions, birth trauma, car accidents).

Dr. Ouellette has a keen professional interest in family, pregnancy, and pediatric care.  She is the co-author of a book entitled: A Perinatal Guide to a Safe and Healthy Pregnancy. Dr. Ouellette believes in establishing optimal health in infants and young children, providing an essential foundation for a long and healthy life.
