Mia Bernard has worked at the Britannia Chiropractic Clinic for over 20 years.  Mia was attracted to the health care profession as a youngster and received a registered nursing degree in Montreal.  Her nursing career was interrupted by the raising of 3 children and she chose to work in natural health care when she rejoined the workforce.  

Mia has been a West Ottawa resident for over 40 years and mentions that the main reason she enjoys working at the clinic is because she appreciates working in a professional clinic with the opportunity to meet so many interesting and motivated patients.  She particularly enjoys the fact that she gets to observe patients developing an awareness and confidence in their own body’s ability to deal with illness and she enjoys helping people become actively involved with their own health care.  Mia often mentions that she is constantly amazed at the healthy transition that she observes from the first time she meets a new patient. 

Mia’s favorite extracurricular activities include time at her cottage at Blue Sea Lake and being a favorite companion for her grandson, Julian.  Her winter getaways usually include “chilling out” on the island of Antigua in the month of January.
