Celebrating Dr. Dick's Retirement

SEND RETIREMENT GREETINGS to DR. KEN W. DICK

Chiropractor Ottawa ON Ken Dick

For over 40 years Ken has thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of serving patients at the Britannia Chiropractic Clinic and he will retire on December 17, 2025.

When Ken began his practice, he had a calligrapher paint the following words in large letters in the reception room of the clinic.

“We are here to honour the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy.  We seek to remove interference so the body can heal itself.  We are grateful for the opportunity to witness nature’s miracles and the privilege to serve others”.

Those words still resonate with him today as he is truly grateful for the opportunity to have met over 11,000 patients.

Ken sold almost 5,000 copies of his book, Healing Satori, and is bursting with pride now that he has 2 children continuing his chiropractic legacy. He jokes that he will need at least 2 chiropractors to keep him going in his later years.

He is also relieved to know that he leaves his patients in good hands, in that they are welcome to continue their care with Dr. Patrick Kirkham at the same clinic or with his son, Dr. Matthew Dick who has practiced for 3 years at the Kanata Family Chiropractic Clinic:

Congrats Ken on your upcoming retirement and thank-you for being the best chiropractor to me over the past 31 years and a kindly, wise, good friend too. We will miss your expertise and immense compassion. Wishing you all good things, great health, fun new adventures, continued prosperity and happiness always in your new chapter. With high regard,

Ken – congratulations on your upcoming retirement. You deserve it for all the help you’ve given not just to me but to all your patients. When I came to you in 1997 I could barely move my arms enough to fasten my own seat belt. After only 5 appointments I had a noticeable increase in my mobility. With your encouragement I started exercising regularly doing cardio and weights, along with the chiropractic adjustments. Wishing you and your family all the best in this new chapter in your life.

  10. Michael Amodeo on December 5, 2025 at 9:45 am

In the autumn of 1996 I walked into Britannia Chiropractic Clinic with tingling and numbness in my right arm. Ken had been successfully treating my wife for some time so I was confident that he would fix me up. He ordered an x-ray and within 3 or 4 treatments my symptoms had disappeared, and other less noticeable aches and pains had evaporated also.. So it has been 29 years of neck adjustments, and recently Ken has been skillfully advising me about my newly-acquired mild case of sciatica.

Ken, I have treasured your experience and vast knowledge. I know first-hand that retirement can be great fun. I wish you a long one with plenty of opportunities for travel. All the best.

    • Dr. Ken W. Dick on December 5, 2025 at 8:27 pm

Thank you Michael for sharing your story. You made a commitment to focus on your health and I am honoured to have been a part of your healing journey. I wish you all the best going forward. Keep well. Dr. Ken W. Dick
